1000 Curvas — Oak Mature 2019
From the original vines planted in 2011 on the granite terraces of Quinta da Castanheira (Baião, Vinho Regional Minho), at 250 m elevation. The grapes — mostly Chardonnay lágrima with 30 % Alvarinho — are hand-harvested in September.
48 h decanting, stainless steel fermentation, complete malolactic. Alvarinho spends 12 months in oak followed by 24 months in stainless; Chardonnay rests 32 months in stainless before bottling in July 2023.
It’s a golden yellow with a fresh citrus nose, notes of candied orange peel, pastry and smoke. The palate is full and mineral, with a medium-long, dry finish — a white with structure, elegance and maturity that captures the essence of the project.
