ÚNICO #3 — Blend of Time is the third release in 1000 Curvas’ most experimental line. The concept is simple and ambitious: four wines, three vintages, two varieties, gathered to express the patience and natural evolution of wine.
The blend is 75 % Alvarinho and 25 % Chardonnay, both from the 15-year-old Quinta da Castanheira vines in Baião (Vinho Regional Minho), planted on granite at 250 m elevation. Hand harvest in September, 48 h decanting, stainless and oak fermentation, complete malolactic. After bottling in July 2023, it rests another 10 months in bottle before release.
Straw yellow, elegant and complex. Orchard fruit and citrus open into flowers, wet stone, light smoke and pastry. The palate is structured with vivid acidity and a mineral edge; the finish is long, dry and citrus-led. Each bottle is a singular story.
